Supergirl's New Season 5 Suit Revealed
by Neil ColeSupergirl will be sporting a new suit when the hit CW television series kicks off it's fifth season on Sunday, October 6th at 9:00PM.
Actress Melissa Benoist took to Instagram to share a first look at the new costume which ditches the character's skirt in favor of pants as well as a few subtle changes that result in the suit looking more similar to actor Tyler Hoechlin's Superman costume.
While an official plot summary for season 5 has yet to be announced, it has been revealed that this years annual Arrowverse crossover event is titled "Crisis on Infinite Earths" which is based on the comic book series of the same name. The crossover will take place over five episodes of Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman; three in December, 2019 and two in January, 2020.
Season 5 will feature Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Jesse Rath as Querl "Brainy" Dox/Brainiac 5, Nicole Maines as Nia Nal/Dreamer, David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz, and Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olsen.
