Louis Ozawa Changchien Lands Role of The Hat on "Supergirl"

by Neil Cole

Actor Louis Ozawa Changchien ("Kidding", "Man in the High Castle") has been cast in the role of The Hat on the hit CW series "Supergirl".

The magician character will debut in episode 4.13 entitled "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice And The American Way?" where he will team up with Manchester Black, Menagerie and The Morae in a battle against Supergirl and the Children of Liberty.

The episode title is the same as that of the comic book storyline that first introduced the world to Manchester Black and The Elite in Action Comics #775 by Joe Kelly and Doug Mahnke. The issue features a moral struggle between Superman and the values of the newer, violent heroes of The Elite who set out to prove that the Man of Steel is too gentle on criminals.

Changchien currently stars in the recurring role of Mr. Pickles-San on the Showtime series "Kidding" alongside actors Catherine Keener and Jim Carrey. He has also starred in the final season of "True Blood" and the upcoming Netflix series "Another Life" as well as such big screen films as "Predators" and "The Bourne Legacy".

The 4th season of "Supergirl" returns on Sunday, January 20th at 8:00PM ET on The CW.
