In an exclusive reveal, The Hollywood Reporter has announced the following synopsis and voice cast for "Justice League: Warworld", the latest animated film from DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation set within the Tomorrowverse.
Until now, the Justice League has been a loose association of superpowered individuals. But when they are swept away to Warworld, a place of unending brutal gladiatorial combat, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the others must somehow unite to form an unbeatable resistance able to lead an entire planet to freedom.
The film will star the voice talents of Jensen Ackles as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Darren Criss as Clark Kent/Superman, Stana Katic as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ike Amadi as J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter, Troy Baker as Jonah Hex, Roger C. Cross as Machiste, Brett Dalton as Bat Lash, Trevor Duvall as Drifter, John DiMaggio as Lobo, Robin Atkin Downes as Mongul, Frank Grillo as Agent Faraday, Rachel Kimsey as Mariah Romanova, David Lodge as Sheriff, Damian O'Hare as Deimos, Matt Bomer as Old Man, and Teddy Sears as Warlord.
Butch Lukic ("Batman: The Long Halloween") will serve as Executive Producer alongside Sam Register and Michael Uslan. Jeff Wamester ("Legion of Super-Heroes") will direct from a script by Jeremy Adams ("Supernatural"), Ernie Albacker ("Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War") and Josie Campbell ("She-Ra and the Princesses of Power"). Producers include Jim Krieg ("The Death and Return of Superman") and Kimberly S. Moreau ("Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham").
The film is scheduled to be released in July, 2023.
