Jerry Siegel's Grandsons Present James Gunn with Signed Reprint of "Action Comics #1"

Director James Gunn recently received a reprint copy of "Action Comics #1" signed by Jerry Siegel from the Superman co-creator's two grandsons, Michael and James Larson.
The "Superman" filmmaker took to social media to share the news along with a photo from the Atlanta, GA set of the upcoming film of himself alongside the Larsons with the signed copy of the iconic comic.
"A gift from Jerry Siegel's grandsons Michael and James Larson - a reprint of the first issue of Action Comics signed by Jerry," stated Gunn. "It's been great having Mike and Jim around keeping Jerry's spirit alive in the birth of the DCU! Here we all were on the day of the cast read through."
Production on the feature film is currently underway in and around the Atlanta, GA area as well as Svalbard, Norway where scenes are currently being filmed featuring the Fortress of Solitude. Filming is also scheduled to take place in both Cleveland and Cincinnati, OH at a later date.
"Superman" tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and model Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher.
"Superman" is currently scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
