The historic Vogue Theatre in Manistee, MI will present a free screening of "Superman: The Movie" on Tuesday, April 9th beginning at 7:00PM.
The screening marks the 40th Anniversary of when the 1978 blockbuster film starring Christopher Reeve, Gene Hackman, Margot Kidder and Marlon Brando originally premiered at the Vogue Theatre on April 13th, 1979.
The screening is part of a special event presented by the Manistee County Historical Museum titled "Superman and the Motion Picture Houses of Manistee" which will cover the history of the city's motion picture/vaudeville houses including where they were located and what happened to them over time.
Both the presentation and the screening are open to the public and free of charge. However, donations will be accepted with the proceeds split between the Manistee County Historical Museum and the Vogue Theatre.
