Superman Sculpture Featured at Thailand Temple

by Neil Cole

A plaster sculpture of Superman is featured among various other pop-culture characters at the Pariwas Ratchasongkram Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Man of Steel is depicted in his iconic red, blue, and yellow costume holding up an ornate section of the temple's outer wall.

The temple's chief sculptor created the various sculptures in order to help attract more visitors to the holy site including children and their parents.

Other sculptures at the temple include Batman, Captain America, Popeye, Mickey Mouse, and Pinocchio as well as English soccer star David Beckham and Cuban Revolutionary Che Guevara.
