Brent Spiner Joins "Supergirl" Cast as Vice President

Actor Brent Spiner has been cast in role of Vice President Baker on the upcoming 4th season of "Supergirl" which kicks off on Sunday, October 14th.
Spiner is best known for his starring role as Lieutenant Commander Data on the hit television series "Star Trek: The Next Generation" as well as his role as Dr. Brackish Okun in both "Independence Day" and "Independence Day: Resurgence".
VP Baker will be featured alongside President Olivia Marsdin - as portrayed by actress Lynda Carter - and is described as "adept and politically minded" and an "unlikely leader [who] steps up in a big way when his country needs him most."
Spiner joins a growing list of previously announced additions to the season four cast including Nicole Maines as Nia Nal (aka Dreamer), Sam Witwer as Agent Liberty, April Parker Jones as Colonel Haley, Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves, David Ajala as Manchester Black, and Robert Baker as Otis Graves.
