October 30, 2014: Superheroes Wash Windows at Children's Hospital
To help young patients get into the Halloween spirit, a group of window washers traded in their regular work clothes and donned the costumes of iconic superheroes as they "flew" outside the windows of the Texas Children's Hospital.
The window washing crew dressed as Spiderman, Batman, Captain America and Superman and scaled down the facade of the multi-story hospital building. The workers stopped at every floor to help bring smiles to the young patients and their family members.
Children crowded around the windows in the waiting areas with their parents and nurses and exchanged fist bumps & waves with the superheroes who dangled from ropes outside as laughter filled the rooms on every floor.
The event was a great "pick-me-up" for the hospital's young patients who face their own heroic battles on a daily basis.
