October 11, 2014: "Batman v. Superman" Crew Shows Support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The crew of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is showing it's support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by filming with pink colored Panavision film mags.

Director Zack Snyder took to his private Instagram account to post the following photo of one of mags:

"We painted our cameras black for the movie about a year ago," says cinematographer Larry Fong. "And while they were doing that, we had them make this pink mag which we've been holding for October."

Breast Cancer Awareness Month was founded in 1985 and is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

A variety of events around the world are organized in October, including walks and runs, and the pink illumination of landmark buildings such as the Tokyo Tower in 2007 and the White House in 2008.
