September 22, 2014: Harry Lennix Talks "Batman v. Superman"

Posted by Neil Cole

Actor Harry Lennix will soon return to televison for the second season of NBC's "The Blacklist" in his role as Harold Cooper, the assistant director of the FBI Counterterrorism Division.

While recently promoting the new season of the hit tv series, Lennix was asked by Moviefone if he could reveal anything about "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" in which he will once again star in the role of General Swanwick.

"'Batman v Superman' ... [Laughs] Well, no. Anybody who's a fan of the '86 graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns," I think will be well pleased by that. This is a historic event. Clearly, Zack Snyder is on the cutting edge of directing movies of this scope and scale. I think you can depend on the acting -- you've got Amy Adams, of course. You've got Henry [Cavill]. I don't think there are any surprises with regard to that. What will happen remains to be seen. I'd probably wind up in a box some place."

"The Dark Knight Returns" invloved one of the most epic showdowns ever between Batman and Superman, in which the Man of Steel is ordered by the US Government to venture to Gotham City to take Batman into custody.

Time will tell which, if any, aspects of "The Dark Knight Returns" storyline will be incorporated into director Zack Snyder's highly anticipated follow-up to "Man of Steel."
