September 1, 2015: Iddo Goldberg Joins "Supergirl" Cast as Red Tornado
Actor Iddo Goldberg has landed the role of Dr. T.O. Morrow (aka Red Tornado) on the upcoming CBS Television series "Supergirl".
The DC Comics character is described as "the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate superweapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City — including the people Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) cares about most."
Red Tornado was created by Gardner Fox and Dick Dillin and first appeared in Justice League of America #64 (August 1968) and was the result of a merger of two different entities: the android body created by Morrow and the Tornado Champion from the Earth-One planet Rann.
Goldberg is the latest actor to join the "Supergirl" cast which will star actress Melissa Benoist in the lead role. The series premieres on Monday, October 26th at 8:30pm (EST), before moving to it's regular time slot on Mondays at 8:00pm (EST).
