Actress Sarah Douglas will be appearing as a featured guest at the 2014 Belfast Film and Comic Con which takes place October 25th & 26th at the Odyssey Arena in Queens Quay, Belfast, Ireland.
Douglas is best remembered for her role in "Superman: The Movie" and "Superman: II" as the Kryptonian villainess Ursa. Other memorable roles include Queen Taramis in "Conan: The Destroyer" and Pamela in the original 1984 television mini-series "V".
Even though Douglas was born and raised in the UK in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and knew that she wanted to act, she did try to expand options available to her. She worked in a factory and for a time, also in a sterilising department of a hospital. She briefly moved to France and also undertook a teacher training course in English and Drama. However, these were all abandoned in favour of acting.
In 2006, she was reunited with many of her Superman co-stars in Los Angeles as the new version of Superman II (known as "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut") was released with previously unseen footage. At the same time, a new Superman DVD boxset was released, featuring an interview with Douglas.
Other guests scheduled to be in attendance alongside Douglas include Kenny Baker ("Star Wars"), ohn Rhys Davies ("Lord of the Rings Trilogy"), and Stephanie Leonidas ("Defiance").
