Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara recently spoke to THR about his confidence in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and the studio's decision to delay the film's release from Summer, 2015 until March, 2016.
"It was a tough decision at the time because it was going to create a hole in 2015," stated Tsujihara. "But it was absolutely the right decision for the franchise, for DC and the movie. Having seen the movie multiple times, and again last night, I'm extremely confident it was the right decision to make the movie better. And it's so important for the studio to get the foundation right on DC."
Considering that "Batman v Superman" will feature the first on-screen appearances of such Justice League members as Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Flash, Tsujihara could not be more spot-on in regard to the highly anticipated film needing to properly lay the foundation for the DC film franchise.
Judging by the film's trailers and what has been seen thus far, "Batman v Superman" will pull off this task with the greatest of ease and fans will be rewarded with a truly epic film.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" premieres in theaters worldwide and IMAX on March 25, 2016.
