When Warner Bros. released the first full-length trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" at Comic Con Internation - San Diego, fans were quick to take notice of footage featuring Lex Corp in possesion of General Zod's corpse.
Now, in a recent interview with Vulture, actor Michael Shannon has revealed a few odd details on his supposedly deceased character's role in the highly anticipated film.
"I was in my costume, and I couldn't use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands," states Shannon in the Vulture article.
"So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn't open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder, the director] being like, 'Where's Shannon? Where the f**k is he?' and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, 'Let me out of here!'"
The revelation that Zod will now have these strange appendages offers some confirmation to the long-standing rumor that Lex Corp uses either his corpse or DNA to create the unstoppable killing machine known as Doomsday.
Shannon did not elaborate any further on his role, saying: "I don't know what I am in the trailer. I could be a toaster, or a Porsche, I don't know."
All rumors and speculation will be answered when "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" premieres in theaters and IMAX on March 25, 2016.
