In the current issue of Entertainment Weekly, the magazine focuses on the upcoming slate of movies scheduled to release this Fall including director David Fincher's "Gone Girl" starring Ben Affleck.
During the course of his interview with EW about the film, Affleck also took time to talk about his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" which is currently filming in Detroit, MI.
"It's a process that I'll probably have better perspective on when I'm done," states Affleck. "Batman's obviously got a set of expectations that are tough. So I spent a lot of time working out."
Affleck also touched on the negative backlash from some fans in regard to his casting as the Dark Knight but, being a consummate professional, took the high road while rolling with the punches.
"Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I wouldn't have taken the part if I didn’t trust my instincts in terms of the filmmaking," added Affleck. "I think Chris Terrio wrote a terrific script. Zack's a great visual director. And there’s an interesting take. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn't think I could do it. I have the benefit of a lot of that understanding. But also, everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's a big part of this international sport."
