In addition to the previously announced "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" animated film, two new titles will also join the slate of DC Universe Animated Original Movies in 2015.
Following the world-premiere screening of "Batman: Assault on Arkham" at San Diego Comic Con, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced that the new titles will be "Batman Vs. Robin" and "Justice League: Gods and Monsters".
"Batman Vs. Robin" will release in Summer, 2105 and be loosely based on the 2012 DC Comics' storyline "Batman: The Court of the Owls," by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. "Justice League: Gods and Monsters" is expected to premiere in mid/late 2015 and will feature an original storyline by Bruce Timm. It will not be related to the 2001 comic of the same name by Dan Jolley and Josh Krach.
"Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" will feature actor Matt Lanter ("90210", "Star-Crossed") in the lead role as Aquaman and will pick up from the storyline established in the February, 2014 animated film "Justice League: War".
Other cast members include Jason O'Mara as Batman, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Jerry O'Connell as Superman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Sean Astin as Shazam.
"Batman: Assault on Arkham" premieres on August 12th on Blu-ray, single-disc DVD, and Digital Download.
