Production work on "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will reportedly be moving from Detroit, MI to the Chicago, IL area later this October.

Chicago Tribune journalist Luis Gomez posted the following tweet earlier today stating that the Chicago Film Office has confirmed that work on the highly anticipated film will be heading to the windy city this fall.

One scene that may be filmed in Chicago is a big stunt that was originally supposed to take place in Detroit. The stunt reportedly involves a helicopter and a hole being blown in the roof of a building.

Other scenes will be shot on the reconstructed Kent Farm set which is located about 50 miles west of Chicago in the city of Yorkville.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, and is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
