July 23, 2015: Eli Snyder Rumored to Portray Robin in "Batman v Superman"
When Warner Bros. released the latest official trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" a few weeks ago at Comic-Con International: San Diego, fans were quick to take notice of a tattered Robin costume with grafitti by the Joker featured in the footage.
A new rumor now indicates that director Zack Snyder's son Eli might be featured as the character of Batman's crime fighting partner in flashback scenes which may also showcase actor Jared Leto as the Joker.
If this proves to be true, it would follow closely with the late-1980's Batman comic book story arc, "A Death in the Family" in which the second Robin, Jason Todd, is brutally beaten and ultimately murdered by the Joker.
Eli has previously had roles in his father's films including "300" as a young Leonidas and "The Watchmen" where he portrayed a young Rorschach so there may be some truth and credibility to this latest rumor.
However, until such time that Warner Bros. or the Zack Snyder camp makes an official announcement or confirmation in regard to this rumor, it is best to take it with a grain of salt for now.
