July 21, 2016: Chris Wood Joins "Supergirl" Cast in Mystery Role

Actor Chris Wood ("Vampire Diaries," "Containment") has joined the cast of the upcoming second season of "Supergirl" in what will be a regular recurring role.
TV Line reports that Wood will make his debut early into the series' second season in the mystery role of a surprise DC Comics character.
Wood is the latest addition to the hit series which will feature such other new cast members as Tyler Hoechlin ("Teen Wolf") as Clark Kent/Superman, Lynda Carter ("Wonder Woman") as the US President, Ian Gomez ("Cougar Town") as Editor-In-Chief of CatCo Magazine, Snapper Carr and Floriana Lima ("The Family") as Metropolis Special Crimes Unit Captain, Maggie Sawyer.
"Supergirl - Season Two" is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 10th at 8:00PM (EST) on The CW.
