by Neil Cole

While "Justice League" will not hit theaters for a few more months, fans attending San Diego Comic-Con this weekend will have the opportunity to see the redesigned Batmobile from the highly anticipated film which will be on display during the multi-day convention.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Mattel are teaming up to display the 8,500-pound, 20-foot-long vehicle at Mattel's booth - #3029 - which includes retractable machine guns and missile launchers to help with the ongoing war on crime.

Also debuting alongside the full-size vehicle will be Mattel's remote-controlled Ultimate Justice League Batmobile, which features engine sounds, armored wheels and working exhaust pipes all operated by tablets and smartphones.

"I am a huge fan of Batman and wanted to design an RC vehicle that showcased what most people would imagine it doing," stated Michael Kadile, Toybox lead designer at Mattel, in an interview with Heat Vision. "Bringing the Batmobile to life has been really rewarding as a longtime fan. The smoke that comes out when you rev the engine. It's an unexpected surprise!"

Pre-orders for the Ultimate Justice League Batmobile will be available from retailers starting today.
