July 6, 2016: Heroes Park from "Batman v Superman" to be Featured at San Diego Comic Con

Posted by Neil Cole

San Diego Comic Con has announced that in addition to their official programming and event rooms at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, the Manchester Grand Hyatt, the Horton Grand Theatre, and the San Diego Central Library, attendees will also have the opportunity to explore more offsite events than ever before.

One such event will be the "Warner Bros: Batman v Superman Fan Experience" located at the Omin MLK Promenade featuring a recreation of Heroes Park as depicted in the film which was built following the so-called Black Zero Event as depicted in "Man of Steel" in which Superman and the military faced off against General Zod and his followers.

The park features a fifteen-foot tall statue of Superman surrounded by walls etched with the names of those who died. In "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", the statue was defaced with the words 'False God' by Black Zero survivor Wallace Keefe who lost his family and legs during the battle.

The latest version of the Batmobile as seen in the film will also be featured at the offsite event along with exclusive giveaways and a daily scavenger hunt.

Attendees must wear their Comic-Con 2016 badge for access to this and other events, if space is available!
