In recent years, the San Diego Comic-Con has become the launching point for many first looks and trailers of upcoming films & projects from the major motion picture studios.
One such teaser was the huge 2013 reveal that the follow-up to "Man of Steel" would see the addition of Batman into director Zack Snyder's Superman universe.
Now comes word from Latino Review's Umberto “El Mayimbe” Gonzalez that fans attending the 2014 San Diego Comic Con may get to see a teaser trailer of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" which Warner Bros. is currently putting together from footage that has already been shot in Detroit, MI.
This latest rumor comes on the heels of recent reports that the studio is also planning to reveal their entire slate of upcoming DC Comics projects and, possibly, the cast of the 2017 Justice League movie.
As with all rumors such as this, take it with a grain of salt until such time that Warner Bros. makes an official announcement confirming this latest news.
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
The film is set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, and is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
