Former "Wonder Woman" actress Lynda Carter has been cast in the role of the US President on the upcoming second season of "Supergirl".
The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news late yesterday while Carter later confirmed her casting on the series via her personal Twitter account.
The 64-year-old former beauty queen is best known for her title role on the hit 1970s series, "Wonder Woman." In 2007, Carter also guest-starred on the "Smallville" episode entitled "Progeny" in which she played Chloe Sullivan's mother Moira.
The second season of "Supergirl" is scheduled to premiere at 8:00PM (EST) on Monday, October 10th on The CW Network.
