June 21, 2016: Kristofer Hivju to Play Ancient Atlantian King in "Justice League"

Actor Kristofer Hivju is set to play an ancient Atlantean King in Warner Bros.' upcoming "Justice League" movie which the studio will release on November 17th, 2017.

According to IGN, the "Game of Thrones" star will be among a group of ancient Atlanteans and Amazonians which each took ownership of one of three Mother Boxes that were sent to Earth hundreds of years ago in order to keep them from falling into the wrong hands.

Collider adds that a detailed history of the three Mother Boxes will be revealed during the course of the film and that Zeus will also have a pivitol role in that history.

Hivju currently stars as Tormund Giantsbane on the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" and, in addition to "Justice League", will also star in the 2017 film "Fast 8"; the latest installment in the "Fast & the Furious" franchise.

Earlier today, Warner Bros. revealed the official logo and synopsis for "Justice League" along with many other details concerning the highly anticipated film.
