June 13, 2012: "Man of Steel" Footage to Debut at Comic-Con?

The 2012 San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner and Variety.com has posted an article detailing which movie studios will be attending this years convention as well as the films they will be promoting.

One such studio is Warner Bros. which Variety reports "has reserved a three-hour block Saturday and is likely to anchor its presentation with 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,' out in December."

In regard to Warner Bros. upcoming reboot of the Superman film franchise, Variety states that "Plans include first-look footage from next summer's 'Man of Steel,' not a surprise given helmer Zack Snyder's love for the Comic-Con crowd when he presented '300' and 'Watchmen' in previous years. On the other hand, the studio has never taken one of Christopher Nolan's Batman pics to the Con, and there are no indications that this year will be any exception."

The 2012 San Diego Comic-Con takes place July 12th - 15th at the San Diego Convention Center and is expected to attract over 130,000 attendees.

"Man of Steel" stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Joer-El, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Kevin Costner as Jonathon 'Pa' Kent, Diane Lane as Martha 'Ma' Kent, Michael Shannon as Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy, Harry Lennix as General Swanwick, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Richard Schiff as Dr. Emil Hamilton, Cooper Timberline as Clark Kent (Age 9), Dylan Sprayberry as Clark Kent (age 13), Jadin Gould as Lana Lang (age 13) and Robert Gerdisch as Whitney Fordham (age 14).
