The Valley Free Press reports that volunteers are currently being sought for the first annual "Smallville Superfest" which is set to take August 17, 18 and 19 in Plano, Illinois.

Plano was thrust into the entertainment spotlight in the summer of 2011 after Warner Brothers and DC Comics chose the town to represent "Smallville" in director Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot, "Man of Steel".

The "Smallville Superfest" will offer fun-filled events such as Superzip line, barbecue, Smallville photo display, fishing with Plano Mayor Bob Hausler, Superbounce, country market, food vendors, parade, live bands and more. All of these activities will be on Main Street in downtown Plano.
