June 8, 2016: Lena Luthor Among New Characters Coming to "Supergirl: Season Two"

by Neil Cole

Lena Luthor, the sister of iconic DC Comics villain Lex Luthor, will be among a host of new characters joining the cast of "Supergirl" when the second season of the series premieres this Fall on The CW.

TV Line reports that the character "will be in the 25-35 year old range" and "arrives in town to get out from under the shadow of her infamous brother." The article goes on to state that Lena Luthor is "described as sexy and smart and determined to get what she wants."

Another series regular will be Nick Farrow who butts heads with Kara at CatCo and is described as "brash leading man who is looking to make a name for himself in the news world."

Rounding out the cast of new characters will be The Doctor who serves as the female leader of Project Cadmus and implants prisoners with alien technology; Snapper Carr, a veteran journalist tasked by Cat Grant to remake the news division by going old school; and Maggie, a comics-inspired out and proud detective for the Science Police, a newly formed division which strictly handles metahuman and alien threats.

The second season of "Supergirl" premieres on The CW this Fall.
