April 25, 2017: "Powerless" Possibly Cancelled Following Removal from NBC Line-Up

by Neil Cole

The DC Comics-based sitcom "Powerless" which had aired on Thursday nights on NBC has been removed from network's line-up.

The comedy series stars Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk, Ron Funches & Alan Tudyk and takes place at Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises based in Charm City, that specializes in products for ordinary humans who are poised to be victims of the battles between superheroes and supervillains.

Following a premiere back in February to less-than-impressive ratings, the series has suffered a steady decline in viewership with each new episode and has not been able to catch on with viewers in any significant way.

"Powerless will not air this week or next," stated Executive Producer Patrick Schumacker via Twitter. "This, I know for sure. I can guess some other things but they're not good. Thanks for watching."

Upcoming episodes titled "No Consequence Day" and "Win, Luthor, Draw" have been replaced on the NBC schedule with episodes of the comedy series "Superstore."

As of this writing, there has been no official announcement from NBC in regard to the scheduling change or the future of the show for that matter.
