April 21, 2015: "Batman v Superman" Trailer Premieres at IMAX Theaters
The teaser trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" premiered yesterday evening at IMAX Theaters across the U.S. and Warner Bros. certainly did not disappoint the thousands of fans who waited hours to see the event.
The IMAX version of the trailer is pretty much a carbon-copy of the one recently released online by the studio but with the addition of a few extra seconds of amazing footage all shot with IMAX cameras.
The bonus footage features both a red-eyed Man of Steel and armored Dark Knight crouch down before racing towards one another with teeth clinched and fists raised prior to colliding into one another. The footage is amazing and, according to a personal video from Zack Snyder to the fans in attendance, is exclusive to the IMAX event.
Following the trailer screening, fans were treated to free copies of the promotional posters featuring Superman and Batman which Snyder recently revealed online via Twitter. Also, vouchers were given out that could be redeemed for free advance screening tickets to see "Batman v Superman" a week prior to the films official release next year.
As a final "thank you", Snyder sent out a tweet to everyone who attended and debuted the following new promotional photo of the Ben Affleck's Batman costume as featured in the film:
The IMAX event certainly shows that Warner Bros. is pulling out all the stops in promoting "Batman v Superman". Going forward, one can only imagine what the studio has in store for fans leading up to the March 25th, 2016 premiere.
