April 21, 2014: "Supergirl: The Movie" Screening in the UK

The UK based "What The Frock!" comedy troupe will team with the "Bristol Bad Film Club" for a special screening of the not-so-high-flying 1984 film, "Supergirl: The Movie" on Thursday, April 24th at 7:30pm.
The film stars actress Helen Slater in her first motion picture role in the title role alongside veteran actors Faye Dunaway (who received top billing) as the primary villain, Selena and Peter O'Toole as Zaltar.
The movie was a spin-off from the popular Superman film series starring Christopher Reeve but ultimately performed poorly at the box office and failed to impress critics and audiences. Slater, however, was nominated for a Saturn Award for her strong performance by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.
"Supergirl: The Movie" runs 125 minutes and is rated PG. The screening will take place at The Cuban Bristol Cocktail Bar and Restaurant and is £7 per person in advance; £8 at the door. Food will be also be available for purchase at an additional price.
