Actor Jeremy Irons recently attended the Lucca Film Festival in Italy and was asked about his upcoming role as Alfred Pennyworth in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
Irons was very brief in his response but offered praise for the highly anticipated film by simply stating, "The next Batman has an amazing screenplay. It's a blockbuster written from the heart."
In addition to Irons, "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Henry Cavill returning to his role as Superman/Clark Kent alongside Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, relative newcomer Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
The film also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Holly Hunter as a yet-to-be-named member of the US Congress.
"Dawn of Justice" receives a worldwide release on March 25, 2016.
