It now appears that actress Diane Kruger, best known for her roles in "National Treasure", "Troy" and "Inglourious Basterds", can be removed from the list of potential actresses vying for a role in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot.

Following a press conference for her latest film "Unknown", Kruger was asked about the recent Superman rumors and simply stated, "No, it's not true."

Kruger is the second actress to deny any involvement on the film following "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart who put to rest rumors of her association on the film earlier this week.

As for now, reports indicate that actresses Alive Eve, Rosamund Pike, Mila Kunis, Olivia Wilde, Rachel McAdams, Jessica Biel, Malin Ackerman, and Dianna Agron are all vying for an unknown lead role in the film.

An official cast is expected to be announced soon, though, as filming on Superman is expected to start this summer for a December, 2012 release.
